Cathy Wilson

Member of Luneside Studios since 1995.

I am a figurative painter working in oil on canvas and soft pastel on paper. Close up studies of the face, animals, still lives and portraiture. I also work to commission on individual or group portraits in both mediums.

Exhibitions include: Dean Clough Galleries, Halifax, 2017-18, The Dukes, Lancaster, Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal 2001, Atkinson Gallery Southport 2000, Storey Gallery, Lancaster (Luneside Studios group show) My work has also been included in several group shows at Tatham Fell Art Centre.

I was Artist in Residence at The Priory Church, Lancaster from 2014 to 2016 and this culminated in an exhibition in the church in 2016. Two commissioned paintings depicting the Saints Peter and Paul hang in the parish church of St Peter and St Paul in Rishton, Blackburn.
