Iain Sloan

I joined the Luneside Studios in 1989 and am now the oldest member.

At college I studied Painting and Printmaking and have spent most of my professional career as a lecturer in Fine Art. I have taught at all levels of art education, from primary school children to students studying for a Master’s Degree.

In my long career I have worked across a very wide range of disciplines. However, my primary activities are in painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. 

After retirement, in 2015 I fulfilled a long-held ambition and opened an ‘open access’ printmaking studio in Lancaster – Iron Press Printmaking.

Situated in The Storey the studio has successfully established Fine Printmaking as a creative option for the residents of Lancaster, and beyond.
